Art Therapy, Race and Culture (ARC) is a working group that gathers information, and researches into race and culture in Art Therapy training and practice. ARC holds workshops and training as well as professional support for individuals and groups. ARC is contactable through BAAT.

The British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) is the Professional body which is responsible for regulating the practice of Art Therapists who practise in the UK. The Association is responsible for maintaining and advising on standards in training, registration and membership. As well as having a regional network it also coordinates special interest groups which focus upon and give advice regarding key clinical issues.

The Art Therapy Profession is State Registered in the UK. The quality, standards and monitoring of the profession and the accountability of individual practitioners is governed by the Health Professions Council (HPC) which was established in UK Parliament under the Health Professions Order 2001.
